The Murray system seasonal determination increases from 63 per cent of high-reliability water shares to 68 per cent HRWS.
The Goulburn and Loddon systems increase from 69 per cent HRWS to 73 per cent.
The Campaspe system stays on 100 per cent HRWS and now has 10 per cent of low-reliability water shares.
The Broken system increases from five per cent HRWS to eight per cent HRWS, and the Bullarook system remains unchanged at zero allocation.
Northern Victoria resource manager Andrew Shields said the updated carryover data contributed to most of the seasonal determination increases announced on Monday, July 15.
“The carryover volumes in the Murray, Goulburn and Campaspe systems were slightly lower than the provisional volumes used in the opening announcement,” he said.
“This, along with higher flows into the major storages than our previous estimates, increased the amount available for allocation.”

Trading opportunities
Allocation trade from NSW to Victoria is limited to the lesser of a net annual volume of 200 Gl or a volume that keeps the risk of spill in Victoria’s share of both Hume and Dartmouth reservoirs below 50 per cent.
As the risk of spill from Victoria’s share of Hume and Dartmouth is currently greater than 50 per cent, allocation trade from NSW to Victoria is not possible.
The volume available for trade is updated monthly with each risk of spill announcement.
The risk of spill in the Murray, Goulburn and Campaspe systems will be updated again on Monday, August 12.
The next 2024-25 seasonal determination announcement will be released on Thursday, August 1.
