First up, on Wednesday, April 2, will be Austin Lees and Ethan Teh-Macpherson.
Austin, a Year 6 student at St Mary’s Corowa Primary School and Deanery Senior Age Champion, qualified for the 50m Senior Breaststroke and 50m Senior Butterfly at the Diocesan Swimming Carnival in Wagga Wagga on March 5.
He will represent his school at the MacKillop State Trial selections alongside his schoolmate Ethan Teh-Macpherson, who is the Junior Boys Deanery and Diocesan Age Champion and who, back last October, couldn’t swim breaststroke or butterfly but is starring in these and other events.
Marshall Lees, a Year 7 student at Corowa High School, was placed 1st in the 13 Boys 100m Breaststroke at the PSSA Riverina Carnival in Leeton on March 11.
He will now represent Corowa High School and the Riverina Schools Sports Association at the NSW Combined High Schools Sports Association Championship in Homebush, Sydney, on Monday, April 7.
Lucas Bellette, a Year 9 student at Corowa High School, was placed 3rd in the 15 Boys 100m Breaststroke at the PSSA Riverina Carnival in Leeton on March 11.
He will also represent Corowa High School and the Riverina Schools Sports Association at the NSW Combined High Schools Sports Association Championship in Homebush, Sydney, on April 7.
Samuel Bellette, a Year 6 student at Corowa Public School and 12 Years Boys Age Champion, secured 1st place in all his events at the Leeton PSSA Riverina Carnival on March 10. His victories included the 12 Years Boys 50m Breaststroke, Freestyle, and Butterfly, as well as the 100m Freestyle and 200m Individual Medley.
Samuel will now represent Corowa Public School and the Riverina Schools Sports Association at the NSW Primary Schools Sports Association Championships on April 10.
All four boys have been training hard to achieve these outstanding results and are excited to compete at the state level.
