The lacklustre first stanza saw the Tigers finish goalless, trailing their hosts by eight points.
The second quarter however saw the visitors make amends by getting on the scoresheet, before taking the lead over Finley 21-39 at half-time.
Continued defensive pressure kept the Cats goalless until the 11th minute of the third quarter, and it wasn’t until the dying minutes of the final quarter that Finley slotted another between the big sticks.

But it was too little too late, as dominant performances in the forward half from Luca Allen (four goals) and Tyron Baden saw the visitors take the win 36-71.

Allen and Baden were named best-on-ground, alongside Kyle Coats, Alec Ritchie, Harry Beasley and Sam Beasley.
In the reserves, Cobram proved too strong for their Finley counterparts with an 84-point win.
Jack Hay, Callum Hulley, Seb Conheady, Koby Withers, Tully Kerr and Tarrynt Neville were named best-on-ground in the reserves.
