In near freezing, rainy conditions the strong squad of runners representing Deniliquin and District displayed determination and talent, achieving truly impressive results, including four podium finishes.
Sisters, Matilda Eddy (11 Years Girls) and Sophie Eddy (8/9 Girls) were both the strongest runners from the Riverina in their age groups, finishing first as age champions of their events.
Closely behind, were Khoa Unwin (8/9 Girls) who finished in second place, and Katelyn Eddy (10 Years Girls) who secured a third placing.
All four girls have now qualified to compete in the NSW PSSA Cross Country Championships to be held in Sydney on July 22.
Teammates, Leah Ellis and Georgie Taylor also ran excellent races, with Leah placing 22nd and Georgie 12th in her event.
