After losing its first two games, Moama has found its groove and now sits second in the Bendigo Premier League bowls competition after six rounds.
The Steamers’ latest victory came against last-placed Inglewood on Saturday, notching a comprehensive 51-shot win.
Moama won all four rinks for the game, the most significant margin coming via skip Travis Kelly and his trio, 32-9 victors over Inglewood skip Ian Chamberlain.
Kevin Anderson’s quartet also enjoyed a big 20-shot win, while Alex Marshall and Cameron Keenan rounded out an impressive day on the greens at Moama to confirm a fourth consecutive victory.
It comes after holding off a determined Bendigo East by eight shots in round five.
The Steamers’ 4-2 win-loss record mirrors that of South Bendigo (third) and Kangaroo Flat (fourth), while ladder-leaders Bendigo remain undefeated.
Kangaroo Flat awaits Moama in round seven for an eagerly anticipated top-four clash and will mark the halfway point of the 2023-24 season.
The Steamers are aiming to build on back-to-back finals appearances since joining the competition.
