Three Magpies teams earned grand final glory on the day – the under-13s, under-17s and B-grade senior netballers.
The under-13s were the benchmark of the competition all season, finishing in first place with 17 wins and just one defeat in 2022.
Come finals time, the Magpies swept past Mulwala in the semi-final, before vanquishing the Lions again 32-22 two weeks later to take home the trophy.
Moama captain Diaz Agg was stellar at both ends of the court, with her performance also earning her the player of the match award.
While the under-13s had a comfortable win, things were far, far more intense on the court next door during the under-17’s decider.
Moama was taking on Tongala in a clash that would go down to the wire.
The Blues were hoping to cap off an undefeated season, having won all their home-and-away matches, as well as their semi-final clash.
The Magpies meanwhile had battled their way into the grand final thanks to wins over Numurkah, Rumbalara and Deniliquin.
An upset was on the cards early, as Moama jumped out to an early lead against the Blues.
But Tonny fought back, and the two sides were neck and neck throughout the rest of the contest.
The Blues and Pies could not be split as the final siren sounded, with extra time needed in order to find a winner.
Overtime saw both teams hold the lead at various stages, but in the end it was Moama which nailed the goal that mattered most.
With only seconds left on the clock, the Magpies scored the crucial goal that lifted them to a 48-47 victory, completing a stunning upset and sparking wild scenes of celebration.
It was another Moama-Tongala showdown in the B-grade grand final, and once again it was the Magpies who came out on top.
Moama led from start to finish as they powered to an emphatic 52-31 triumph.
It was the perfect end to the season for the Pies, capping off a perfect season that saw them win every single game.
Georgina Crowe took the best-on-court accolade home alongside her premiership medalion after a fantastic game for the Pies.
A total of six Moama teams made it through to Murray League grand finals.
The under-14 and reserves footballers and C-grade netballers were also in action on the final day of the season, but they each fell in their respective grand finals.
