Along with the sports already covered over the past week, there are plenty more offerings for sporting fanatics to enjoy over winter, including those listed below.
Tennis
Although conventionally a summer sport, the tennis calendar is highlighted by several regional Easter tournaments.
Some of the nearby tournaments are set to be held in Echuca, Kyabram and Shepparton over the later-than-usual Easter long weekend, on April 18-21.
A fixture of the holiday weekend, local Easter tournaments are routinely well supported, with more than 350 matches of tennis played at last year’s Echuca edition, and Shepparton’s tournament featuring 650 entries.
