Shepparton Harness Racing Club has a new president with industry stalwart Shane Gloury taking the reins from Chris Hazelman.
Gloury is also president of Echuca Harness Racing Club and has had a long association with the trots industry.
He has previously held administrative roles as chief executive at Melton and also served a stint in the same role atAddington Harness Racing Club in New Zealand.
He is currently the chief executive of the Moama-based Rich River Golf Club.
Hazelman has served Shepparton Harness Racing Club for the past eight years after a previous nine-year stint in the role.
His departure follows the recent stepping down of the club’s general manager of the past 19 years, Ian McDonald.
McDonald’s role is currently being carried out in an interim capacity by Rob Auber, also an industry stalwart and trots and media commentator.
Auber will remain in the position until the end of June when a successor for McDonald is expected to be appointed.
