An evening clash at Moon Oval on Thursday kicked off with the home side winning the toss and batting.
Alice Caldow was strong at the top of the order, working with Cadence Major to get Rochy off to a quick start.
Major made a 22-ball 16 before she was the first batter dismissed, while Caldow continued to chip away.
Sadie Martin and Imogen Kath joined her briefly before Sarah Taylor came to the crease, the two working well together to get the score to 3-83 before Caldow’s retirement, her stint yielding 37 runs from 30 balls, including four boundaries.
Taylor (28) continued the momentum alongside Miranda Crawford (16 not out), before falling one ball short of her own retirement.
A quick burst from Keeley Major assisted Crawford in getting Rochester to 5-142 from its 20 overs.
Abby Favaro was the only multiple wicket-taker for Nathalia, grabbing 2-24, while Cody Power, Jessica Daniel and Alyssa Lowe also chipped in.
Caldow quickly put Nathalia on the back foot with a blistering opening spell, starting the innings with a double-wicket maiden and taking a third wicket in her next, also a maiden.
Her 3-3 quickly became 4-4 as Sarah Delwig was run out for a diamond duck as partner Jessica Daniel tried to make something happen.
Daniel and Cody Power tried to add some stability to the innings, Power shouldering the scoring load while Daniel preserved her wicket effectively.
In the ninth over, Rebecca Wade made her mark on the match, breaking the partnership with the wicket of Daniel.
Wade followed up in her following over, crippling any hopes for the Nathalia chase with three wickets in four balls, one coming via run-out.
The most significant scorer of the innings, Power (26 not out) retired before being called on again as her side was eight down, Nathalia eventually limping to 8-92.
Wade (3-2) and Caldow (3-0) did the wicket-taking for Rochy, while strong work in the field saw Imogen Kath and Miranda Crawford credited for the run-outs.
As Shepparton Youth Club United and Moama were both defeated in the final round, Rochester (7-5), in sixth, finished the year level on points with the two sides, held out of the finals by an inferior quotient.
Despite some valiant efforts throughout the year, Bamawm-Lockington United, who had the bye in the final round, finished winless at the bottom of the table.
The Lions were unlucky to have featured in eight games this year, with circumstances forcing them into a league-high four abandoned fixtures.
