Harrison Wilkins was extremely dangerous early as he worked the ball forward and followed up with a beautiful snap to get the scoreboard started.
Some positive ball movement through the centre of the ground from Asher Rasmussen placed plenty of pressure on the Tongala defenders early.
A scrappy start to the second quarter required some level heads and precise skill execution, which was provided from Mason Mundie and Harry Rasmussen who led from the front all night.
Judd Cuttriss kicked truly after some hard work up the ground to provide some reward for effort.
The relentless forward movement from the Tigers in the third term provided plenty of opportunities to score in front of goal.
Noah Makepeace created space in a congested forward line and his excellent ball use ensured the goal umpire was kept busy.
Cuttriss added another four goals as Hugh Acocks continued to run hard and dominate in the ruck.
The final term saw Seth Hunter, Archie Watson and Taylor Murray play some terrific team football, while Louis Frawley’s pressure in the forward line was rewarded as he kicked his first goal for the year and set up a further two.
Harry Rasmussen continued to be calculated with his intercepts and ran hard to gain metres deep into the game.
Harrison Pangrazio used his speed to continually drive the ball forward and set up opportunities for his teammates.
All players had an impact on the game and had the opportunity to play in a variety of positions for the night, which will continue to assist their development.
The boys now have a four-week rest with the upcoming King’s Birthday holiday, a bye and then school holidays.

The first quarter saw the Tigers’ only goal for the game kicked by Darby martin against a solid opposition.
The Tigers came out pumped for the second quarter but after one of their Captains — Cale James — left the field with an injury, the team lost momentum and struggled to fight back against Huntly who controlled the game for the duration.
Playing in the back line, Harvey Keating saw a lot of the play, reading it well to win the footy. He was recognised for his efforts with best on ground.
Back from injury, Darby Martin fearlessly hunted the footy all over the ground, firing up the team with his intensity.
Jag Tarrant held the Tigers’ defence together, sticking to his man throughout the whole game and using his body to effect.
Ella Treacy was relentless in applying pressure to her opponents, effectively disrupting Huntly’s flow.
Mitchell Skeers’ pressure was consistent throughout the game. He used his running ability to channel the play up and down the ground to Rochy’s advantage.

- Rochester Tigers’ Under-16 team travelled to North Bendigo for their round-six game against Maiden Gully.
With grading done, the team has found themselves in the top division of the Under-16 competition.
A slow start was to cost the team dearly as they outplayed the opposition for three quarters.
The boys began the game very sluggish. The midfield could not get their hands on the ball and the backline was too loose and gifted Maiden Gully with too many shots on goal from within range.
Thankfully the forward line was able to make the most of their opportunities to keep the team within range.
Oakley Tarrant kicked the first of the game for the Tigers, bursting his way through a pack and slotting a long range goal on the run.
A clever mark from Kade Pearse and then a selfless handball to Harrison Keating who was running around the back resulted in the Tigers second, with Keating kicking a beautiful goal on the run. At quarter time, the scores were 28 to 16.
The second quarter saw a much more organised Tigers team.
Cooper Harbour was moved into the ruck and competed well, Oliver Williams was sent into the middle with a minding job and Oakley Tarrant went from Ruck to Rover.
The moves worked perfectly as the Tigers got on top in the second quarter.
Jordy Rasmussen continually picked off Maiden Gully’s drives forward, reading the play well and taking some great intercept marks.
The Tigers kicked three goals in the second quarter, through Jimmy Otto, Rory Hayes and Trey White.
The midfield was led by Lachie Joyce who really came into the game in the second term and the boys were right back in the game.
At half-time, the Tigers were down by just one point.
The third quarter saw Maiden Gully kick to the scoring end and they managed to extend their lead.
A clever mark and goal from Trey White and a smart snap from Kade Pearse were the highlights of the quarter.
The boys played some great footy for the quarter, but Maiden Gully kicked four goals and extended their lead to 12 points at the three-quarter time break.
The Tigers were kicking to the scoring end and believed they were a real chance to run over the top of the Eagles.
They were able to create plenty of chances, but could not make enough of their opportunities.
Maiden Gully kicked the first two goals of the last quarter and looked like running away with the game.
Harrison Keating was thrown on ball and the midfield started to get on top.
Kade Pearse kicked his second and Matt Harrington kicked his first and the margin was reduced to 12 points.
With the Tigers finishing much the stronger team, it was disappointment for the boys when the final siren sounded.
The team should be proud of how hard they competed and for displaying their never-say-die attitude, but would be disappointed that a slow start cost them a real chance of victory.
Best players: Lachie Joyce, Oakley Tarrant, Jordy Rasmussen, Harrison Keating, Oliver Williams, Paddy Eeles.
Rochester Football Netball Club One Percenter Award: Paddy Eeles; for his constant encouragement, positive words and the direction he provides on the ground.
