Last Saturday was fourball aggregate in which the winners were Stephen Townsend and John Wacheke with 73 points, from runners-up Graeme Willoughby and Chris Mitsch on 71. In third place were Alan Jenkin and Peter Joice who had a combined total of 70 points.
Last Thursday the ladies played a stableford event, won by Pauline Davis with 35 points, by a shot to Denise Hunter on 34.
In Wednesday’s men’s stableford event the A grade winner was Barry Barlow who had an impressive 40 points, two clear of Graeme Willoughby on 38, and in B grade the winner was David O’Brien with 37, on countback to Geoff Bracken.
Tomorrow is single stableford, on Tuesday the ladies will play stableford on the front nine, Wednesday is the usual men’s stableford and on Thursday the ladies will also play stableford.
The following Thursday, March 3, the ladies have their Open Day, which will be a four-person ambrose, 8.30am assembly for 9am shotgun start.
If you want to start playing golf, or get a few tips to improve your game, don’t miss the Sunday morning lessons. Gather at the pro shop at 8.30am.
Next Monday is GV Vets at Nagambie with an early start to be there by 8.30am. Those registered for GV Vets who are attending on Monday should put their name on the sheet in the pro shop.
And don’t forget Friday Night Fun at the club tonight. Raffle tickets are on sale from 6pm with draws at 7.30. Excellent meals are available, with bookings preferred.
