The Autumn Classic is a fourball best ball stableford with 18 hole events on Saturday and Sunday, plus the major 36 hole event. Good luck to all players.
The monthly medals were played on Saturday, and the men’s medal winner was Donald Bull with net 70 and the ladies medal went to Margaret Radeski with net 69.
There were three grades: A grade winner was Magnus Aitken scoring net 72, from Ian Fuller net 73; in B grade Margaret Radeski was the winner from Jake Foley net 71, and in C grade Donald Bull defeated runner-up Prue Chalmers who had net 74.
A highlight of the day was Rob Sobolewski’s hole-in-one on the 13th.
Last Thursday the ladies had their open day with a four-person ambrose.
Winners were Jane Glowrey, Margaret Radeski, Karen Druitt and Vicki Brunker with 57.62, from Pauline Davis, Yvonne Holmes, Brenda Campbell and Jane Armytage 58.25.
In Wednesdays men’s stableford event the A grade winner was Leigh Chappell with 40 points, from Jimmy Poka jr on 37, and in B grade Alan Lord had 34 to win on countback from Jeffrey ‘Dick’ Grant.
Just around the corner are the 2022 Club Championships, with the first round on Saturday March 26. The second and third rounds will be played on Saturday April 2 and Saturday April 9.
Friday Night Fun continues at the club tonight. Raffle tickets are on sale from 6pm with draws at 7.30pm. Excellent meals are available, with bookings preferred. If you want a lift, call the club and order the courtesy bus.
