Todd Murphy has been named in the 13-player Victorian squad to face Queensland in the Sheffield Shield clash at Allan Border Field.
Murphy was a surprise omission for Victoria’s latest match against Tasmania after claiming six wickets the game before against Western Australia.
Victoria fought out a draw at Blundstone Arena, and is seeking its first victory of the 2022-23 season when the clash against Queensland gets under way on Thursday, November 10.
Murphy claimed match figures of 6-156 at Junction Oval against WA, his sole start for the Victorians this season.
Since making his debut in April 2021, the former Moama cricketer has claimed 18 wickets from his four games at an average of 30.44.
Murphy has already tasted national honours as a member of the Australia A squad for the tour of Sri Lanka this year, with his name currently in discussion for a test spot in the future.
