Bendigo was 21-shot winners over Moama in the first round, but on the Steamers home green, they were simply too good this time around, handing the visitors their first loss of the premier pennant season.
The round eight contest saw Moama get three rinks up, with skip Cameron Keenan the biggest winner in a 26-18 result over Tim Arnold.
Alex Marshall’s unblemished record remains intact after he picked up an eight-shot win over Brayden Byrne, while Kevin Anderson rounded out the winners’ circle for Moama. Bendigo’s Luke Hoskin was the club’s sole winner.
The Steamers now have the distinction of being the only team to topple Bendigo, and the result helps the side retain second spot on the Bendigo premier pennant ladder.
Moama will be hoping to make it seven wins in a row in this week’s final game of the year against Golden Square.
