Moama will face the toughest test possible in Murray Netball League A-grade competition this week when it plays Deniliquin away from home.
The reigning premier is in imperious form, as the Rams have not allowed a side to get within 12 goals by the time the final whistle is blown this season.
It will take an almighty effort for the Magpies to be the first team to defeat the Rams this season, although coach Jodie Lake remains optimistic about the team’s chances.
“We are very excited for the challenge, Deni are obviously a quality side still being reigning premier,” she said.
“We do always seem to rise up to them, only going down by one to them late last season, so we will use that as a driving force coming into the weekend.”
The Magpies will enter the clash with an unchanged line-up following the win over Barooga, with Lake keen to “keep that winning momentum rolling on”.
Meanwhile, it will be a top-six clash at Memorial Oval on Saturday.
Congupna welcomes Nathalia in what is a battle between fifth and fourth on the A-grade ladder.
The Purples are licking their wounds following a heavy defeat to Mulwala last round while The Road are looking to make it consecutive wins after they breezed past Numurkah.
