Season 2022 was one of great growth for Euroa on the netball court.
Sporting a new-look squad, the Magpies shocked the A-grade competition in the early stages, with upset victories of over eventual grand finalists Seymour and Shepparton United propelling towards contender status.
While injuries unfortunately saw the side’s season unravel in the back end of the year, resulting in a semi-final loss to Mooroopna, the foundations Euroa built in 2022 have it primed for another strong campaign.
“We’re super excited to just keep building on our fantastic season last season,” returning A-grade coach Ellie Warnock said.
“Because we are such a young group I think there is plenty of room for growth and there are lots of reasons to be excited about what we might be able to achieve.”
The core of the Magpies’ group has remained intact, with Warnock and Tylah Marchbank set to hold down the fort in defence and Kellie Davidson and Eliza Hoare controlling the midcourt.
They will however sport a new-look attacking end, with VNL talent Mia Sudomirski coming to the club at the expense of an injured Bridget Hill and departing Carly Wappett.
“I am really excited to see what Mia can do, she will bring a lot of the team and has a lot of experience having played at the championship level in the VNL,” Warnock said.
“And then with our trusty players like Tylah Marchbank and Kellie Davidson coming back, it is super exciting to have so much talent in our squad.”
