The Wahgunyah Lions Football Netball Club has had a great pre-season seeing some new players arrive at the den along with some original juniors returning home after trying different things.

“We've seen solid numbers at training which is allowing us to run some new and exciting drills under the guidance of co-coaches John Luci and Riley O’Kane,” the club’s Daryl Hore told the Free Press.
In a huge boost, Luke Dutton has returned home and has accepted the assistant coaching position.
Luke's hard work and determination is refreshing, and he sets the tone for training by leading from the front.
It's been a huge few years at the den, but the off season was filled with hard work by the coaches and recruiting department and the Lions are now seeing the benefits of that persistence on the training track.
There's still a lot of work to do as the club is coming from a long back but there are definitely promising signs, and everyone is showing a willingness to work hard.
Training is currently 6pm on Monday and Wednesday so it would be great to see you there as someone who just wants a run or someone who just wants to help out. Hopefully we see you at the den!
