Fire Brigade led by young batter Lachlan Carver with a half-century claimed a three-wicket win over Moama.
Opener Sam Spedding gave Carver most support with 29 as The Flames posted 7-153 off 37.4 overs to cover Moama’s score of 7-151 with Rikki Busch taking three wickets for The Flames.
· Charles Ryan plundered a century in a big win for Colbinabbin against BLU.
Ryan belted 105 off 87 deliveries and with support from opener Fletcher White (30) and Sam Ryan (32) helped Colbo built an imposing score of 9-228.
Then Sam Coughlin and Hamish Hooppell with five wickets between them cleaned up the LBU batting line-up for 98.
· Unbeaten ladder leader Rushworth met its match against Echuca after a disappointing batting display.
Rushworth was bowled out in 26.2 overs for 108 with opener Michael Enrico (31) and Dan Newton (26) only two of three batters to make it to double figures.
In reply Echuca covered Rushworth’s score in 26.2 overs with five wickets in hand.
· Stanhope took just 14.4 overs to get the premiership points after dismissing Elmore for 86 on the back of a five-wicket haul from Dinesh Reddy Kondala.
Kondala’s deadly eight overs cost just 12 runs and yielded five wickets.
B-GRADE (Murray division)
Cooma took just 13.3 overs to cover Girgarre’s meagre score of 51, but lost four wickets early in its run chase.
Ethan Palma-Ludeman with 4-5 off 3.5 overs and Ben Napier (3-17) did the damage with the ball for Cooma.
Opener Leigh Kempinski with a fighting 24 off 66 deliveries was the only Girgarre batter to make double figures.
Liam Scopelliti with an unbeaten 25 guided Cooma to victory after it was a shaky 3-27 and 4-28.
· Tongala couldn’t match Moama’s 126 in which Callum Tucker took 4-18, dismissed for 93.
Hayden Hicks (31) and Ryan Smith (20) prevented a complete batting rout.
· LG lost only two wickets covering Echuca South’s of 8-122 with an unbeaten 74 from skipper Scott Lucas the highlight of the game.
C-GRADE
Fire Brigade’s Brodie Boal-Ryan with 71 and Michael Mott with 44 set up a winning score of 180 against Girgarre, dismissed for 92 in reply with Billy Gahan top scoring with 21.
Sam Vick with 5-32 was the destroyer for The Flames off eight overs.
· Lachlan Joyce with an unbeaten 68 and Kiran Verrall (46) and Manojkumarchowdary Boddu (28 not out) steered Stanhope to victory over Cooma.
A half-century from Michael D’Augello, 27 from Liam D’Augello and 30 from evergreen opener Roger French enabled Cooma to post a competitive 7-174, but the Stanhope batters were up to the challenge.
· Rochester’s 176 with Leigh Hartshorne (47) and Glen Moroney (48) showing the way was never threatened by LBU, out for 120.
Rory Hamilton with four wickets and Brad Parker with three did the damage with the ball for Rochy.
D-GRADE
Fire Brigade’s 9-135 was matched by Moama in 22.2 overs.
Ben Langley top scored with 42 and skipper Chris Cleveland made 29 opening the Brigade innings.
· Tongala scaped home against BLU with opener Tim Simpson (50 retired), Andrew Reid (34) and Seth Chantler (20) posting the 6-131 winning score.
Then Chantler and Simpson completed good all-round performances to each take four wickets and leave BLU six runs short in its run chase.
· Rushworth, led by Zac Dearing (40) and Brett Pateman (30), proved up to the challenge of covering Echuca’s score of 8-141.
