The peak of weekend performance, the Allan Matheson Shield decider, served up another memorable affair between fierce rivals Shepparton Golf and Tallygaroopna.
All seven divisions reached their crowning glory on that super Saturday and, while the Golfers had little time to dwell on their pennant success before meeting Wunghnu in Wednesday night’s Goulburn Murray Bowls Region playoff, others can also relish in their own achievements now.
Seymour VRI, most notably, earned itself an achievement to tide over all the way into next season, having clinched division two glory and earned promotion to the Matheson Shield in 2025-26 at the expense of wooden-spoon outfit East Shepparton.
