A new leader emerged in division one as Kyabram leapfrogged Shepparton Park thanks to a routine beating of East Shepparton.
The Bombers prevailed 14-63 to 2-48 on East’s greens and most of the damage was done by Joe Greco’s first rink as Kyabram throttled the host by 20 shots in a one-sided set of ends.
Meanwhile, Park ceded its hold at the top as it was downed by a gallant and determined Tallygaroopna contingent.
A thrilling clash was expected — first versus third — and that’s precisely what panned out as the Redlegs held on to a 12-57 to 4-56 triumph.
Park won the first and third rinks, but a 10-shot win in the second by Matt Robertson’s four paved the way for a crackerjack victory for Tallygaroopna.
Around the greens, Euroa etched a surprise three-shot win over Shepparton Golf, while the contest between Seymour and Tatura-Hill Top was scratched.
