With Christmas and Boxing Day barely out of the way, golfers wasted no time returning to their natural habitat on the Mooroopna fairways.
For some, it was an opportunity to make the most of their holidays and play in unfamiliar surroundings, while there would have been a general keenness to get active following family time and Christmas lunches.
Conditions were ideal in the absence of dangerous heat or torrential rain, both of which have impeded local courses across the past few weeks.
