The Bulldogs have bulldozed into the Goulburn Valley Playing Area midweek big dance, set to have a shot at the Edna Harling Shield after ousting current holder Shepparton Golf in Tuesday’s preliminary showdown.
An enthralling 14-63 to 2-53 match spun the way of Tatura-Hill Top, shocking reigning premier Golf into submission in a 2-1 rink split.
Jason Carter steered his troops to a 20-shot triumph in the opening exchange but Col Power’s four bit back in a big way, up 31-9 in the second rink.
However, Tatura-Hill Top walked off with a 25-13 scalp in the third rink to book a date with Tallygaroopna in a March 4 grand final showdown.
Rolling down the tiers, the GVPA’s other preliminary final winners were Seymour VRI (division two), Avenel (division three), Shepparton Golf (division four), Kyabram (division five) and Colbinabbin (division six).
