At the Lima School Hall, the Eagles’ Shaun Murphy and Jim and Eleanor Renkin defeated the Wombat’s Andrew Marriott and Henry Thorne three rubbers to two.
Murphy won both his singles rubbers along with Marriott and Eleanor.
The Wombats sealed the victory with a win in the three-game doubles.
Tigers defeated Galahs
At the Tatong hall, the Tigers’ Paul and Wesley Shea had a decisive win against the Galahs’ Andrew and Laurence Donaldson.
Emus 1, Magpies 4
At the Tatong Hall, the Emus’ Rob Erskine and Dheeraj defeated the Magpies’ Pete and daughter Kate, four rubbers to one.
The Magpies won the doubles, but the Emus secured the victory by winning all the singles rubbers.
Goannas 4, Exton and Mounsey 1
The Goannas’ Keith and son Joel Bickerton defeated Colin Exton and Melissa Mounsey, four rubbers to one.
Keith Bickerton won both of his singles rubbers, and Joel Bickerton and Exton won a singles each.
The Goannas than won the doubles.
Swans 3, Turtles 2
Also at Moorngag, the Swans’ Damian Young and Chris Seeley defeated the Turtles’ David Beer and Mike Larkin, three rubbers to two.
Beer won both of his singles rubbers but the Swans sealed the match by winning the doubles.
