On Saturday, round four of the International Waterski and Wakeboarding Federation (IWWF) was hosted at Deni Boat Club.
It was the precursor to State Titles.
More than 30 riders made their way to Deniliquin for the competition, including junior World Champion Parka Edwards.
Brilliant results were achieved by local riders Elka and Ethan Connolly, and Kobee and Stevie Williams.
Ethan was able to secure a second placing in the straight air competition.
Sister Elka took the first place in the straight air, and she was also first in the state championships Junior Women Division.
Kobee claimed a second placing in the straight air event, and was named the Rookies Season Champion and the Under-9 Victorian State Title winner.
Older sister Stevie also put on a wonderful performance and won the Victorian State Title in the under-14 age group.
The stand-out performances from the four locals is a testament to the work they have put in the lead up to the event and across the season.
Deni Boat Club members also welcomed the competitors, their families and supporters with a barbecue and refreshments from the boat club.
Aileen Hayes, a Deni Boat Club member, helped to organise and serve food and refreshments across the two days and was happy with how the event went.
“The Wakeboarding weekend brought a number of visitors to our beautiful town, visitors and locals came to Deni Boat Club to spectate and support the event.”
The Deni Boat Club also held a raffle night on the Friday, February 14, that saw plenty of people get along to enjoy the clubs amenities.
