Corowa rowers Imogen Tomlinson, Clancy Tomlinson, Adelaide Robb, Emily Tidd and Bella Heagney who claimed victory in the Victorian Sprint Championships Open Quad scull.
The Corowa Rowing Club began rowing season winning style, coming away with 16 wins over the two-day regatta held at Lake Moodemere held over the weekend.

Corowa had 80 entries from male and female Under 15 sculling through to masters and mixed events.
The club had new members and families competing at their first regatta gaining invaluable racing experience for the rest of the season.
Saturday’s racing was over the 800m course with the club recording five wins.
Harrison Tindall and Noah McSweeney won the U15 double scull against a combined Essendon Shepparton crew. Fantastic result for the boys’ first regatta.
Sommers Hogan and Maci Coates teamed up in the Female U15 double to record the win over their crew mates and first-time rowers Dakota Good and Sienna McFarlane. Sommers also went on to win the U15 Single scull.
Brad Pearsall and Abby Richards teamed up in the mixed double scull to win their heat and final.
Adelaide Robb had a great row in the B grade single to win the heat and the 4-crew final. The club had some great racing with our crews’ winning heats and rowing strongly in the finals and were ready to race over the 500m course on Sunday.
Racing began at 7.00am on Sunday with Liam Fitzgerald claiming the club’s first win for the day in the Male C grade single scull.
Liam teamed up with Erik Hogan in the C grade double to take the win in the final.
Liam and Erik teamed up with Shaun Bell, Lachie Hogan, and Cox Will Hogan in the C grade quad scull. The crew had a great battle down the course to claim Will’s first medal.
Sommers Hogan continued on from Saturday’s form, winning the single scull and teaming with Adelyn Holland in the double.
The all-Corowa final featured Sienna and Dakota, Maci, and Maddison Ryan with all the crews rowing strongly and showing their improvement.
Harrison and Noah backed up Saturday’s win in the U15 double.
Brad and Abby were up against a quality field in the mixed double and again showed they were up for the challenge to record another win.
Brad and Abby teamed with Alex Schultz, Tamasin Burch and cox Maddison Ryan to record a great win.
Robert “Dinga” Eyers found the shorter course to his liking, by taking the lead and holding off the fast-finishing scullers to record the win in the master’s single scull.
Spencer Holland lined up in the U17 single and had two of his best rows to win the heat and final.

The crew Bella Heagney, Emily Tidd, Adelaide Robb, Clancy Tomlinson, and Cox Imogen Tomlinson lined up in the 4-crew final. Up against a quality field the Corowa crew took the lead and hold on to record another win.
Well done by all the Corowa rowers representing the club over the weekend. The rowers exceeded expectations with 14 first time rowers and coxswains competing and gaining invaluable racing experience.
Competing in their first regatta Anastasia, Sienna McFarlane, Tierney Hamilton made finals in all of their events. Ashley, Maddison and Emma Pasqualotto improved with each row as did our C grade quad scull featuring Liz Sandow, Eva Broad, Clancy and Imogen Tomlinson.

Now is the time to work out training times to suit school and work, as the club start planning crews and boats for the next six weeks, leading into the State Championships in Ballarat.
The club had a fantastic regatta and many thanks to the volunteers who helped out during the day. Special thanks to Ian Macca, Dinga and Dannial for Co ordinating on the bank, Matt and Scotchy for getting crews ready and to all newer families for getting involved in a hectic three days of setting up and rowing.
