Echuca Pirates Staci Richardson and Georgie Eishold have been shortlisted for the Country Basketball League’s esteemed All-Star 5 team following their stellar seasons on the court.

Richardson and Eishold were named by Basketball Victoria on a list of 10 male and 10 female players from the CBL North-West who are in the running to be chosen in the confrence’s team of the season.
Their selection comes on the back of outstanding seasons for the Pirates, with their performances being recognised by Basketball Victoria.
Eishold led from the front as the Pirates women’s playing coach, netting an average of 10.7 points per game — the second highest on the team.
She had double-digit points in four of Echuca’s six games, tied for the most among Pirates players.
Eishold was a key piece in a young Pirates team, providing a strong scoring presence as well as leadership on and off the court.
The Pirates missed out on the finals after finishing seventh on the ladder, but they had a chance of finishing in the top four heading into the last weekend of the home-and-away season.
Like Eishold, Richardson being named on the All-Star 5 shortlist comes as no surprise.
The playing co-coach of the men’s side, Richardson was a point-scoring machine all season.
He scored 106 points during the condensed and disrupted campaign, the most of any Pirates player.
Richardson had double-digit points in all six of the games he played, including a season-high 27 points against Castlemaine
His average of 17.7 points per game was also tied for the fifth most in the CBL North-West.
The Pirates men also missed out on finals this season, finishing eighth.
Like the women’s side, they too had a chance of reaching the finals late in the season, but they couldn’t quite fight their way into the top four.
Melton had the most players on the men’s and women’s shortlists with four.
