After winning all three footy grades in 2024, other clubs will be ravenous to knock the premiers off their thrones in the new year.
In the seniors, Shepparton Bears will continue to be a force in the competition despite their heavy grand final defeat, while Rochester has made targeted additions to its third-place squad from last year.
The Tigers will also be able to draw on a deep pool of developing talent from their runner-up reserves side from 2024.
Echuca has, as is its style, relied on the names that brought it three straight senior premierships, with thirds and reserves talent again knocking on the door for opportunities.
The Murray Bombers have lost a couple of their 2024 squad, but the group remains mostly intact for Simon Maddox and new coaching partners Leo Tenace and Cameron Valentine.
Belinda Lees will look to return Echuca to the promised land in 2025.
In netball, the Murray Bombers and Euroa have traded grand final victories over each other for the past two seasons, and the pair will be the teams to watch out for again in 2025.
Belinda Lees is looking to return Echuca to the top with the same core that earned the 2023 title, augmented with some new faces.
The new season gets under way on April 5, Echuca’s first game coming against Shepparton United at Victoria Park.
Easter will see some league games played on Good Friday, while Tatura and Shepp will play on Anzac Day in the Anzac Round.
Other special rounds include Say NO to Violence Round in round six, and Indigenous Round, held over rounds 13 and 14.
Finals begin over August 30-31 and conclude with a blockbuster grand final day on September 21.
Interleague will also return in 2025, scheduled for May 24.
