Round one of the Deniliquin Badminton Summer Competition sprung into action on Monday night at the Deniliquin Stadium.
Existing and new players were welcomed to the courts.
Badminton is an exceptional way for kids and adults to stay fit, have fun, and meet new people.
In the team results, Shuttle Masters won a victory over Smashers with a close score of 248-245.
The three game winners for the Shuttle Masters team were Ian McMillan and Mick Pisasale snr.
In the second match, Hotshots defeated the Racqueteers with another close score of 244-239.
Nathan Reid was the only three game winner for the Hotshots, and the only three game winner for the Racqueteers was Troy Grant.
The Hotshots have the bye in round two next Monday, February 17.
