Australian men’s cricket coach Andrew McDonald has been confirmed as one of the guest speakers for the Deniliquin and District Cricket Association reunion.

McDonald, a former Australian Test player originally from Wodonga, will be a feature of the planned sportsman’s night during the Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12 reunuion event.
Also confirmed to be attending as MC is South Australian First Class and Big Bash League player Tim Ludeman.
Ludeman has been attached to both the Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades.
The sportsman’s night is scheduled for the Saturday night of the reunion, to begin at 7.30pm.
Tickets are expected to go on sale soon.
Other events for the weekend will include:
• Friday - meet and greet from 6.30pm at the Deni Rhinos Clubrooms at Memorial Park.
• Saturday – A-grade Rhinos match at Memorial Park from 12pm. Afternoon tea and drinks available for purchase.
More information about the reunion event will be released in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, in preparation for the event, the committee has been researching previous teams and calling for memorabilia donations.
This week’s feature game researched ahead of the upcoming reunion was the Juniors A-grade one-day season cup win in 1998/99.

One Day Premiers - Captain’s knock steers Juniors to victory
Juniors soared to victory over Town in the Deniliquin District Cricket Association A-grade Hussey’s Travel One Day Final on Sunday after a stunning knock of 89 from Juniors’ captain Andrew Grimshaw.
Grimshaw steered his side to a total of 171 with his innings, which included 10 boundaries and four sixes.
Town failed with the bat struggling to come to terms with the bowling of Terry Blake and Brendan Willoughby.
Town were dismissed for 129, leaving Juniors 42 run victors and the 1999 DDCA Hussey’s Travel One Day Final champions.
Final score: Juniors 171 def Town 129.
