The 2024-25 Pennant Season saw RSL enter four teams, and three teams have made finals. A great effort.
Weekend results are following in the report.
Midweek has one round to be completed.

Men's Pairs Championship
Semi Final played Wednesday, February 5th.
Tom Hynes and Stuart McNeill defeated Ken Widdison and Scott Widdison 14/12
Ken and Scott 0/10 down and played their way to a two-shot loss.
Thomas and Stuart will play Rodney Garthwaite and Wayne Lee in the final. DTA

Ladies Triples Semi Final played Sunday, February 9th
Sandy Stewart, Robyn Fierenzi and Anne Summerill defeated Jenny Lawrence, Irene Biggs and Susie Swift 20/10
Sandy, Robyn and Anne will play Judy Black, Bev Pilfoot and Joan Wood in the final. DTA
Men's Triples Championship final
Tim Buggy, Ray McLarty and Andy Dickins vs Darryl Brown, Gary Brown and Peter Summerill, this match is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
Midweek Pennant Round 13
Division A1 lost to Wangaratta at Home 63/67 and dropped to fourth position behind Wodonga, Wangaratta and Yarrawonga.

Sunday, February 19th the Bowls Club will hold the Ted Hovard Memorial Best Pennant Player Calcutta in Ms Birdies at 10.30am, following the General Meeting
Jenny Hovard will present the award in memory of Ted.
Catering $20 per person.

Corowa Civic Bowls Club
On Sunday 16th the Maxi Draw will take place, there will be a game of bowls for those who wish to play a social game, followed by a light lunch followed by the draw.
If you wish to attend, please add your name to the list in the clubhouse.
The first week of the Business House Fours got underway on Wednesday evening with a good attendance of teams and players, we are looking forward to seeing you each Wednesday night during February.
The Club Handicap Singles will be played on Sunday, March2, if you want to participate in this event add your name to the list on the noticeboard at the club.
On Sunday morning a round of the Men’s Triples was played between John White, Travis McDonald and Clint Snow against Guy Rowe, Steve Rodway and John Dalgleish. After a very tight start Guy, Steve and John went on to win the match. Another game will be played on Friday morning.
Easter Tournament entries are being accepted by Col Hendren, Eileen Ide and Annette Norman.
The format is 2 bowl Triples on Good Friday 18th April) Easter Saturday 19th 3 bowl pairs and Easter Sunday 20th 2 bowl Triples.
The Edinburgh Shield will be played at the club on Saturday 12th April and Sunday 13.
Presentation Night is set down for Friday 11th April.

Weekend Pennant – Round 14
The last round of the season was played on Saturday with A2 defeating Commercial Club by 10 shots, this was a very pleasing result as Commercial Club sit on top of the ladder. B2 lost at St. James by 7 shots, B3 lost at home to Lavington by 50 shots.
