Yarrawonga Mulwala Basketball Association is excited to be involved in an initiative driven by Kayla Oughton to bring All Abilities Basketball to Yarrawonga.
YMBA believe in the importance of providing opportunity for participants of all abilities within the community to easily access and participate in basketball; as well as grow public awareness and support for inclusive programs.
The local community has shown strong support and interest, creating a real opportunity for growth.
Over the past five weeks, participants from Yarrawonga and Cobram have enjoyed weekly training sessions, where they have been learning the fundamentals of the game and having lots of fun doing so.
Exciting plans are ahead for 2025, including opportunities to play games against surrounding towns, who have also developed an accessible format of the sport.
New participants are always welcome to join and encouraged to come and give it a try!
