Launched in 2020, the program is designed to support community-led initiatives improving the liveability and vitality of the region.
It has contributed more than $180,000 to the community through grants and partnerships, particularly in areas relating to the environment, sustainability, skills and participation, and health and safety.
This year, up to $30,000 in funding will be made available to eligible local organisations.
The last round of the program saw five local community groups awarded a share of $35,000.
Grants were used to install new bus shelters in Benalla, upgrade kitchen appliances at Molyullah Hall and Benalla Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club and improve equipment at Glenrowan CFA and Winton CFA.
State Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland said it was imperative that renewable energy companies were giving back to the communities they set up in.
“We simply cannot allow large corporations to swoop into our communities, dismiss the concerns of the people, then take all the benefits offshore, leaving locals in a worse position than before,” Ms Cleeland said.
“It is pleasing to see some re-investment back into our region through these grants; however, there is always room for more.
“I encourage local organisations to ensure they are applying for these grants.”
