Strathbogie Tableland History Group president Lisa Duggan said the event was initially about the unveiling of the town’s heritage trail but had grown to include a number of other celebrations.
The trail consists of 11 historic sites — some still there — with interpretive panels, mostly along the main street.
St Andrew’s Church will be open celebrating its 100th anniversary, the school marks 50 years with afternoon tea served between 1pm and 3pm, and the general store will have a barbecue to celebrate 120 years of operation.
The hall will have a continuous slide show of old photos and displays of memorabilia, and local history books will be for sale.
The event kicks off at 10.30am and is open to all (no pets/animals). Please note that only the store has EFTPOS.
