It has been a warm festive season for Echuca, and temperatures are set to rise again right up until New Year’s Day.

The mercury began to climb on Christmas Eve, with an overnight low of 11.6°C and a high of 29°C.
Christmas Day was a perfect day to stay by the pool with a cold drink, as temperatures rose to 35°C.

However, the heat peaked on Boxing Day with a low of 22°C and a maximum just above 40°C.
There will be minor relief from the sun over the weekend, with tops of between 27°C and 30°C, before temperatures ascend again in the coming week.
Grant O’Shaughnessy, Sienna Finn, Tayla Dougall and (dog) Sunny Dougall travelled from Melbourne on Boxing Day for a day out on the river.

Monday, December 30, is forecast to reach 34°C after a low of 13°C, followed by New Year’s Eve, which is expected to hit 35°C from a low of 17°C.
New Year’s Day will likely see similar conditions, with a high of 34°C and a low of 14°C.
Rain is unlikely at this stage but winds of 15 to 20km/h are expected over the next three days.
