In Round 1 of the 2022/23 Federation Community Grant Program, Mulwala Progress Association is to receive the maximum amount allowable, of $3,000 under the program.
It was the only organisation in the Federation Council area out of the 15 organisations or community groups receiving grants to receive $3,000.
“We’re most appreciative of any help seeing we’re a volunteer group,” volunteer maintenance worker Daryl Davey said.
“A lot of our signage certainly needs replacing. The signage is tired and needs an upgrade.”
In more good news for the town’s amusement park, the miniature train will be operational in “two to three weeks” according to Mr Davey.
Tunzafun is always on the lookout for more volunteers, especially in the busy school holidays.
Savernake School of Arts Committee will receive $2,700 cash contribution to host the Small Halls Festival in 2023.
The 15 successful application grants were mentioned at Federation Council’s monthly meeting on October 17.
