Work on the Beveridge to Albury section is already under way, and more than $89 million has already been invested with local businesses in Victoria.
John Holland is the construction contractor for the Beveridge to Albury Tranche 2 section, which includes works at eight sites between Benalla and Wandong.
Inland Rail is holding three information and networking sessions in September, so businesses can find out how to get involved with building Inland Rail through supply, workforce and training opportunities.
The sessions will provide an overview of the Beveridge to Albury Tranche 2 project and a chance to talk with the John Holland and Inland Rail teams.
Tranche 2 works include replacing road bridges, lowering rail tracks, and station modifications to enable the safe operation of double-stacked freight trains.
Construction is scheduled to start in 2025.
The Benalla information session is on Tuesday, September 17 from 6pm to 8pm at Benalla Lakeside Community Centre, Showgrounds, via Arundel St.
Sessions are also being held in Euroa on September 16 and in Broadford on September 10.
Businesses interested in supplying to John Holland are encouraged to register their interest against work packages published on the ICN Gateway.
