The stunning Rochester silo art can now be seen in all its glory once the sun has set.

Rochester Silo Committee media manager Kate Taylor said the silo lights launched at the end of October and the community was very excited.
“The committee decided it was the next step, there's a couple of silos with lights and having them lit up makes them look even more amazing,” Mrs Taylor said.
“There are people who are staying in Rochester and walk home at night who can now see it and it's also a bit of a security thing, it lights up the whole area.”
The Rochester Silo Committee talked to local businesses for assistance in landscaping.
“We've had lots of sponsorship to have it landscaped and we're very thankful for the donations from Temptation Living and Landscapes, Coolabah Turf and our local James Anderson who did all the fencing for us,” Mrs Taylor said.
The lights were funded by Federal Member for Nicholls Damian Drum and organised by local electricians Hocking Electrical through AWM Electrical.
The committee is now discussing the availability of artist Jimmy DVate to add more paint to the silos for phase three of its development.
The lights are set on a two hour timer at night and Mrs Taylor said it's been a great success and a real improvement to the town.
Meanwhile, to the south of Rochester, the Colbinabbin district historical society has entered a formal lease with VicTrack to lease Lot 41 for the silo viewing area.
Ward Bros Earthmoving has levelled the area in front of the silos across three days starting on Tuesday, December 18.
In January 2020, De Groot Roofing will commence preparation of the silos and artist Tim Bowtell will begin painting six silos in early to mid-February.
Colbinabbin Silo Art Trail Project community member Sadie Vale said the painting would take about eight to 10 weeks to complete and would be revealed as the work was completed.
“The theme is based on community suggestions and we're very excited because we've done a lot of work; it's quite amazing how long it's taken,” she said.
“We're hoping to make it a beautiful place with gardens and picnic areas, to develop an unused piece of land.
“It will be a beautiful addition to the town landscape.”
In other news, Tongala has been added to the Country News silo art map.
Tongala has more than 50 murals across the township which Country News believes is worth celebrating.
