The market will be on from 10am to 6pm on Friday, February 21 and from 9am to 3pm on Saturday, February 22 in the Shepparton CBD Maude St precinct.
People can expect special sales at local shops, market stalls, live music, food and kids’ activities.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said he was excited for the market to return.
“The market offers a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together and enjoy the final days of summer while supporting local businesses and vendors,” he said.
“I encourage everyone to join in, shop local and make the most of this exciting event in the heart of our city.”
Council place manager Bonnie McIntosh said the Summer City Market was the perfect occasion to activate the economy and create opportunities for businesses in the precinct to connect with the community.
“We are looking forward to visitors and locals taking advantage of the special deals and engaging with local vendors,” she said.
“We encourage everyone to join the activities and entertainment taking place across the two-day event.
“There will be giant games, face painting and an interactive animal display for the kids to enjoy, as well as live music and great shopping opportunities.”
Greater Shepparton Business Network president Stephen Schneider encouraged all traders and shoppers to “get behind this iconic Shepparton sale event” and enjoy the activities and bargains available.
“The Summer City Market provides traders from all retail sectors with a perfect opportunity to offer local and visiting consumers exceptional end-of-season clearance bargains,” he said.
Maude St between Fryers and High Sts will be closed to traffic from 6am on Friday, February 21, and will reopen at 4.30pm on Saturday, February 22.
