She was originally Girly, then she became Girly Girdie.
Is she much of a worker?
She brings the cows from the paddock. She is great at doing what you say, but with age she's starting to get some selective deafness.
How did you get her?
She was born in a litter owned by Robyn who's a family friend and has worked for a long time on the farm. We reckon she's about six years old.
What do you like about her?
Even though she is a farm dog, she'd be right at home in Brunswick. Our son took her on a camping trip with him once and she was perfect, just sat in the passenger's seat happy as can be.
It's great having a farm dog, because you have a pet and a worker. She's part of our family but she's also got the staff as family which makes it easy when you go away.
Does she have any funny habits?
She gets the cow afterbirth and drags it up onto the house lawn to eat it. It's disgusting as can be sometimes.
When she's out working if she wants a break she'll jump in the water trough instead of sitting down. Doesn't matter how hot or cold it is, she'll jump in and you'll be left looking for her.
Does she come inside?
No. We spend a lot of time outside anyway, sitting on the porch and such. She has her own raised kennel out near the shed.
Has she always been so placid?
Always, the kids spoilt her. She is part of the family and such a nice dog.
