About 80 children were provided with sunglasses and headbands before lining up at the starting line in groups to tackle an obstacle course featuring challenges such as balance beams, slippery slides, hurdles, tunnels and a commando crawl.
Along the way, their mostly white shirts were transformed into a kaleidoscope of colour.

The event, dubbed the Elmore Education Colour Run, was made possible thanks to funds raised through a raffle held at Elmore Progress Association’s town Christmas party last year.
It was the second year the schools and kinder had gathered for a day of fun. It followed the students taking part in a ninja warrior course at Elmore Primary School last year.
Elmore Primary School principal Aaron Taylor said the colour run was “a tremendous success”.

“Excitingly, the raffle we conducted, with goods and services donated from businesses in and around Elmore, helped raise over $1100, which will be put toward another shared event.”
