Mr Mangan has just taken over the school leadership from Ian Denson, who had been at the school for 20 years.
Mr Mangan and Amanda Rogers, the school’s other teacher, were also on their first day alongside Prep student Savanah.
Anna Kemp is the other Nanneella staff member, having been on-site since 2010.
There are 13 students at the school this year, Savanah and her Grade 2 sister Shakya’s late enrolments bumping up the school population slightly.
The school has topped out at 30 students in the past.
Mr Mangan will teach the Grade 5 and 6 students, while Mrs Rogers has the Prep to Grade 3 class. Mr Mangan arrived at the school from Kyabram P-12, while Mrs Rogers was an interpreter for the deaf at Echuca College.
