It will be a six-quarter game.
Whilst the Roos will be missing some senior players, the side will be “strongly represented” according to co-president Beau Longmire.
“Our netballers will be playing practice games against themselves. It will be a great opportunity for our fans to come down and see the footballers and netballers in action,” he said.
After the football game there will be a women’s football training session before the club’s season launch where club supporters will be introduced to coaches Daryn Cresswell and Sally Hunter.
Fans will be able to meet football and netball recruits to John Foord Oval at the season launch. Dinner will be available after the introductions.
Due to cricket commitments with finals, the Under 16 Roos’ footballers will play on Sunday, from 10.30am.
The Roos’ Round 1 clash is at Wangaratta against the Magpies, at 6.00pm on Saturday, April 12.
A Grade netball coach Sally Hunter (pictured with outgoing coach Sophie Hanrahan) will also be introduced to fans this Saturday.
