Officers from Cobram Highway Patrol arrested a man near Koonoomoo on Sunday, January 19.
Police stopped a vehicle at a speed check on the Cobram-Koonoomoo Rd around 4.20pm on Sunday. The driver of the vehicle then allegedly evaded officers and drove away.
Shortly afterwards, police received tip-offs from members of the community about a man behaving suspiciously at a Koonoomoo service station.
Cobram police arrested a man, 38, around 4.30pm on Sunday on Torgannah Rd, Koonoomoo.
The man faces 12 separate charges, including drug-driving, negligent driving and evading police. He is set to face court in April.
Cobram police said they would like to thank those locals with their assistance in the arrest of the man.
