Organiser Kerryn Alexander said the iconic event holds a special place in social calendars for the many ladies in Corowa and surrounds who attend.
“The day includes elegant dresses, beautiful hats, gorgeous fascinators, fine food, bubbly drinks, good friends, lots of talking and of course, heaps of fun! All this, as well as watching the Oaks Day racing on the big screen!” she said.
The event will commence at 12 noon with bubbles and canapes in the bar area, followed by a sit-down luncheon at 1pm.
“Those who wish to book these special tables will need to book early - there is no extra charge for these tables.
“Our annual ‘Fashion on the Field’ event will be conducted with one grand prize awarded for the best dressed lady on the day. Corowa’s premier ladies dress shop ‘Shine’ in Sanger Street has kindly helped us with sponsorship for the day.”
TAB betting will be available, with the full day’s racing shown on the big screen and in addition, sweep tickets will be sold prior to the luncheon being served.
Ms Alexander is encouraging everyone to register their interest early with the Corowa Golf Club reception.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone on the day,” she said.
