The Mathoura District and Services Bowling Club was broken into and trashed, and the Tattersalls Club Hotel was also the recipient of two unwanted visitors .
They have footage of the unwanted visitors, and police are investigating.

Locals had the opportunity yesterday to get together with some hardworking members of our community and learn about their roles.
They were invited to have a ‘Coffee with a Cop’.
The event was designed for the police officers to get to know the local residents and vice versa.
It can only be a good way of making friends and sharing information.
The event was held at the Mathoura General Store.

Mathoura Public School students returned to school on Wednesday, much later than other children around the district.
Rather than enjoying the longer break, these youngsters generally can’t wait to get back to catch up with their teachers and friends.
But they are back now, so all is well, and they now get to show those joining them in Kindergarten the ropes.

Mathoura Tennis Club will soon be resuming its junior tennis program.
The program was a big hit with local youngsters last year, and I’m sure it will continue to be this time around.
The program will resume on Wednesday, February 19 at 6pm

Children with cancer will benefit from an event at Bunnaloo in March.
The Four Halls and a Weigh Bridge Committee will present The Bunnaloo Ball on March 1, with proceeds going to the Children’s Cancer Institute.
