In honour of Nathalia Secondary College’s 100-year anniversary the theme for this year’s show will be Old School and the celebrations will be incorporated into the day’s activities.
Kicking off at 9am on Saturday, October 5, the show will be held at Nathalia Showgrounds and will be a wonderful day for the whole family.
Food will be provided by the fishing club and there will be amazing entertainment including rock-and-roll dance displays by Cool Cat Rock N Roll Club, free rides and even sheep shearing and wool spinning displays. And don’t forget the show bags.
The pavilion will host all the old favourites, ranging from cookery and photography to woodwork and some art and craft from local schools and preschools.
And that’s not all. There will also be plenty of livestock competition on the day including the pet parade for the younger show-goers.
Celebrating the 85th year of the sheep dog trials, last year’s champion John Tuddenham will be returning to defend his title against 60 other dogs and their handlers.
Golden sponsor Samual James from James Stockfeed will officially open the show at noon with the Show Quest following directly after.
The Grand Parade will conclude the day, commencing at 2pm, and issomething show organisers are quite proud of, according to Nathalia Agricultural Society affiliate Ellen Morcombe.
“Not many shows still have a grand parade, so we are proud to uphold this tradition,” she said.

Entries for the pavilion are due Wednesday, October 2 and physical entries are to be delivered Friday, October 4, before noon.
