Their performance promises a delightful array of tunes from beloved musicals, sure to bring joy to all in attendance.
Savoy Singers spokesperson Garry Coath shared the group’s excitement about its return to Echuca.
“We first performed at the Echuca-Moama Uniting Church in July 2019, returning in 2021, 2022 and 2023,” he said.
“The reception and response from the audience was wonderful and we have very warm memories of the welcome and especially the lunch provided on our arrival by the wonderful church people.”
Having celebrated their golden jubilee last October, the Savoy Singers boast a diverse repertoire primarily drawn from musical theatre.
Their performances span from Gilbert and Sullivan to Andrew Lloyd Webber, including works by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Cole Porter, and Leonard Bernstein, among others.
“We relish the invitation to come back to this fantastic venue and perform once more for the people of Echuca-Moama,” Mr Coath said.
The group’s show, aptly titled Music to Make You Smile, features an ever-changing selection of songs from classic theatrical productions.
Throughout their five-decade journey, the Savoy Singers have lent their talents to numerous fundraising efforts for not-for-profit organisations, including the Anti-Cancer Council, Red Cross, and Save The Children Fund.
Their performances have reportedly helped raise more than $500,000 for various community groups.
Tickets for the April 6 performance will be available at the door and the show starts at 2pm.
Children under 12 can attend free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
