Lovers of silo art were in heaven at the weekend as three silos were painted simultaneously on Saturday — all depicting horses.

Artworks were being completed in Devenish, St James and Goorambat and hundreds of people travelled to the towns to see the artists at work.
Benalla artist Timothy Bowtell is currently painting a number of horses on one of St James’ GrainCorp silos.
He’s previous completed two other silos in the town depitcting a mural of George Coles and his St James shopfront, and an old-time car.
The region’s connection to horses was also being depicted by Melbourne artist Jimmy DVate who was adding an artwork to the Goorambat silos.
DVate painted a barking owl, dubbed Milli, and a country scene on the silo as part of the Wall to Wall Festival last year.
It was also a return to the region for Melbourne artist Cam Scale.
He painted Devenish’s war-themed GrainCorp silo — depicting a World WarI nurse and a modern-day army medic — in April last year and has returned to paint a lighthorseman on the town’s metal silo.
Devenish will officially launch its new silo art on Sunday, April 14 with a street parade from 11am, featuring people dressed as World War I nurses as well as 1920s cars and army cadets.
A service by Shepparton and Yarrawonga Mulwala RSL members will follow the parade at noon, with visitors welcome to dress in line with the early 20th century theme.
