A 120-hectare bushfire at Stoney Creek Rd, Maintongoon is not yet under control.
CFA is sending strike teams to the fire today, Thursday, March 2.
There are concerns the fire could continue today if winds pick up.
A full containment line has not yet been established, however favourable conditions overnight helped crews on the ground.
CFA was called to the Stoney Creek Rd fire at 6.45pm yesterday, Wednesday, March 1.
A ‘Watch and Act - Leave Now’ warning is in place for the north-east of Maintongoon, up to Maintongoon Park Rd, and there is a ‘Stay Informed’ notice for Bonnie Doon.
There are no reported losses at this stage but the community is asked to remain vigilant and stay informed via the Vic Emergency app.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
