The event was held in conjunction with the Good Friday Appeal, a cause close to many Locky locals’ hearts.
Around $2500 was raised for the appeal between a raffle and the Easter event, the most most money raised since the event began.
Organiser Nicole Cunnington said the event received a positive response from the community.
“It went really well, everyone seemed pretty happy from what I could tell,” she said.
“The kids had fun and had lots of eggs ... the games were great and kids enjoyed colouring, it made me very happy.
“I had a huge help from other people and I was very grateful for that.”
Around 80 to 90 kids participated in the egg hunt, searching the Lockington Recreation Reserve for chocolate.
There were also games, including connect four and ring toss for kids to enjoy, and the rolls of colouring pages were especially a hit.
There was also a morning tea of scones and tea available for families to enjoy while the kids played.
The $2500 raised through the event brought Lockington’s Good Friday Appeal donation total to $3847.
